How to Send As Distribution / Contact list in Outlook 2011 for Mac

This was a pain for me! As a hybrid user, :) I use everything from CentOS (linux) to Mac to Windows and every iteration of each, I was so used to using Outlook on a PC to send as multiple distribution list/contacts. As I wear many hats in my roles as IT man and general web guy I have many Distribution lists that I send from so as to originate email from that group but have that group delivered to my exchange inbox and in some cases other people on the server also. Now out of the box outlook on a PC allows you to view All Distribution groups / lists / contacts you can “send as” with a From drop down list at the top of composing a new email. Outlook 2011 on a Mac does not. And this is VERY dissapointing as it was one of the features I was most interested in getting in the latest release to Mac. In any case I did a quick search and found a readyexchange.net artical that fixed me up. And thought I would share with you all! Saved me doing a writeup so here is the link. Check it out. https://exchange.readyexchange.net/support/kb/default.asp?id=2116

Thanks for the heads up, but there is an easier way. You can set your account to act as a delegate for the DL (assuming you have send as rights) and that address will show up in the from drop down. See http://wiki.eits.uga.edu/help/index.php/Acting_as_a_Delegate_(Outlook_2011) on how to tell Outlook 2011 who you can act as a delegate for.

I am a Mac user with Outlook 2011. I have created a couple of Group Contacts, for emailing groups of people. However, I am not sure how to get back into these groups to add a recipient or delete. Can anyone advise?

    Thanks a million

to edit contact groups click on contacts at the bottom left of your mail page, you should see mail, calendar, contacts, tasks & notes

Tracey, This post is about Sending As a Distribution List. IE the email comes from the DL email address. Cheers

Is there a quick/easy way to create a group contact list in Outlook 2011 Mac from a folder of emails? (other than adding the emails into the group contact list one by one)
